Long Beach Aging Services Collaborative

The Long Beach Aging Services Collaborative connects service providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups to work towards a more integrated aging service model by sharing current services, resources, and legislative information.

Mission

The Long Beach Aging Services Collaborative connects service providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups to work towards a more integrated aging service model by sharing current services, resources, and legislative information.

Vision

Information and resource sharing throughout the network will yield strategic partnerships that will benefit the service experience and improve the quality of life of older adults in the Long Beach area.

“One of the highlights of the program was participating in the Long Beach Aging Services Collaborative. It was helpful to be in a space with other organizations and individuals who provide services for older adults. Although we’ve been working with the older adult population for a few years now, it’s not our primary mission or demographic so there’s still much more to learn on our part as an organization. As we’re working to increase our knowledge on what resources are available for older adults, being in the collaborative space made it easier for our organization to reach out for assistance or referrals.”

“The Aging Services Collaborative is incredibly beneficial for our staff and, by extension, our clients. It’s a unique program in that most localities do not have a structured network of aging services providers to exchange resources and knowledge. The collaborative has helped to improve coordination between systems and keep us abreast of the support services available in the City that we can connect our aging clients to.”
